Hi Team, I have mistakenly updated the remaining time (as 8 week 4 days instead of 4 days)of the task to a high number which caused a bump in the burn down chart. Can you please help me in undoing the step.I just want the task to be reset

Hi @ankursaxena2020 and welcome to the Community!

I noticed that you just asked the same question over here as well: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Mistakenly-updated-remaining-days-for-task-while-creating-task/qaq-p/2604415#U2604443

As I mentioned over there as well: Jira does not have an undo function. since you mention here that you created this as a new task, you could consider deleting the task altogether (if you have the permission to do so) and create a new one instead. In sites I administer or with customers I support, I usually disable the delete permission for issues since it is (also) irreversible. However, I have noticed in the past that this does help to make unwanted changes disappear as if they never happened.

Don't just do this lightheartedly, though. I still strongly suggest to just correct the data. We all make mistakes. Don't be sorry or feel bad about it; every mistake is an opportunity to learn.

Hope this helps!
