Migration of JIRA 5.2 to JIRA 7.X

Hi,

what is the best possible migration strategy to migrate JIRA 5.2 with log customized plug-ins to new JIRA 7.X..

can you point me to right documentation

I would go from 5.2 to 6.4 to 7.0 then 7.target.
