Migrating data from bugzilla 5.0.3 to Jira Cloud

I want to migrate a number of existing projects in Bugzilla to Jira cloud is there a migration tool available or best practices that I could follow?

Have a look at this support article. In short, you can either import data from Bugzilla by first exporting them from Bugzilla to csv or by importing them into a DC instance of Jira first and then migrating them to cloud.

Dear Walter thanks for your feedback I have gone through the support article is pretty spot on. 
Bugzilla does not have a plugin but one can use the CSV import wizard

A config file can be useful if you plan to run a similar import repeatedly. You create it (or Jira creates it for you) after you run your first import manually. At the end, you have the ability to save the settings you specified to such a file that you can then upload in a next import, so you don't have to specify all your settings manually all over again.

It might be useful for your migration scenario if you plan on doing a (set of) test migration(s) first, so you can save time and gain confidence for your production migration.

I think I do understand what you are trying to do, @Arsalan Ayub. But I have not been able to make my point clear.

You are trying to define a configuration file that has all the settings right before you continue with the import. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. While you can create custom fields, workflows, data etc in Jira, I am quite sure that you can do the same in Bugzilla.

And so, I cannot imagine that there is a default config file available that you can use for your import. And if it did, it would probably cost you more time to adapt it to your specific situation than just continuing without a config file and mapping things manually.

While you haven't said so, I am getting an educated suspicion that your expectations may not be entirely correct about the process. You will need to make sure that everything you need to import data into Jira from a csv are preconfigured in Jira beforehand. That means, you will have to set up a project, configure workflows with the needed statuses, make sure you set up all the fields you want to import data into from Bugzilla. Only then, you can start importing the data from the csv you created from Bugzilla and you will be able to specify what column from the csv file goes into the corresponding Jira field. The import process will not create any fields, statuses, ... that are not configured in Jira yet.
