Migrate complete board to another site

Hey guys,

I'm trying to migrate a Jira board to another site using the cloud migration website, but when finished, it says it was incomplete and only part of the migration was done. His suggestion is this:

Would it be possible to export the entire board to .csv and migrate manually?

You can use Salto (https://salto.io) to do this with a few clicks.

Once you connect your source and destination sites to Salto, you can just go in and select the board you want to migrate.

Salto will automatically tell you if it depends on custom fields that you need to move as well, and you'll be able to select them too.

They offer a free "Pro" trial, so you can just sign up now and try it out.

The document you have linked is correct. You won't be able to import the board because a board is just a visualization of the data. You would need to export the issues with all their data and then import it to the other site. Then recreate the board.

You will need to create the custom fields you want to carry over in the new system before import and you will need to make sure all the dates are correctly formatted for all the data to carry over.

To get the data needed run a JQL search for the project and then export all fields to csv.
