Migrate Trello Boards as Jira Boards

Hi,

I'm a Trello user and with my team we're evaluating a migration to Jira as it seems a more powerful tool.

I searched info about the migration between Trello and Jira, and I've found that you can migrate/convert Trello boards to Jira projects. 

I'm not a Jira expert, so I may be a little confused, but why are Trello boards migrated as new Jira projects instead of being simply new Jira boards?

Hi Benito,

Trello boards and Jira Software Agile Boards are not equivalent. Trello boards and Jira Software projects are. The cards in Trello equate to issues in the Jira project. Jira Boards show a selection of issues in a Jira project.
It is also worth pointing out that Jira is more powerful than Trello, but comes with far more configuration and more administrative overhead. Cheers!
