Migrate 1 Cloud JIRA Project to a different Cloud JIRA Instance

Matthew D'Angelo September 19, 2019

I was having trouble finding the exact use case, so I will create a new question.

I have 1 project in JIRA Cloud instance X, and need to move that project and all of its content/data elements/attachments into JIRA Cloud instance Y. Is that possible without restoring a full DB of all projects?

I can set up the shell of the project in instance Y is that is needed, no problem.

It is not possible yet. You can vote for, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72570

It may take time but, you can export both cloud site to backup, import them into an empty Jira Server instance (on-premise). Delete unwanted data from standalone server and then perform a whole import to target cloud site.
