Merge duplicate custom fields into one and delete the extras in a team-managed project.

Issue: I attempted to consolidate duplicate custom fields using CSV export/import, but it failed because team-managed project fields are scoped to that project only — they cannot be mapped or shared across projects during import.

Ask: What are the alternative methods to copy data from multiple duplicate fields into a single field and then delete the extras within a team-managed project?

Hi @Akshitha Kankanala 

Create a real custom field as Jira admin, don't give it the same name as the current fields.

Then add this field to all Team managed spaces, then bulk change all issues so the value of the current field is set to the new field.

Then remove all Team managed space related fields and rename the new field to the name you want.
