Hi,
being a complete newbie to jira I cannot find the option to simply merge two issues in my project. A short google resulted in either: it's not possible or in a pretty easy way through Actions -> Merge which is not available for us but replaced by "connect to Slack channel" (see image attached) which we haven't even enabled.
Any chances to enable merge for us ... how?
Thanks
Hi @Hella,
There is no such feature available natively in Jira. You can only copy data from one issue to another and close / remove duplicated ticket.
If you want to do it more smart way, you have to use the app. I can recommend our Issue Merger for Jira. The manual merging is available from the same menu as you present on the screen: three dots on the issue view > Merge. You can also define some automated rules to merge issues automatically based on some conditions (it's configurable under Project settings > Issue Merger auto-merge).
Are you seriously telling us that this functionality exists in the app but not on the website? That sounds insane. Why is that? I'll try the app to see if it really works, but I can't get my head around this fact. Thank you for the information though!
