Within spaces, when a Work Item is overdue, the Due date is clearly indicated:
It would be great if overdue dates were displayed this way within the Space List View. Currently:
(posting as a question as I'm unable to create an issue suggestion for JIRACLOUD on the Atlassian space)
Notes:
- We don't use confluence and would rather not use third party apps
- I've attempted a global automation (and the reversal) but it will exhaust our automation limit
Thanks
Hi @erin_moore
List view doesn't support the due date indicator. And I agree, it would be better for the managers or project lead to see which work items need action. Alternative solution would be to create format rules that will fill Due Date with red color. It is always going to be red, regardless of the due date being due soon.
You can find the guide here
Appreciate the response Nikola, as mentioned to Tobi - unless format rules for List view configuration can be set globally, it's not suitable for our setup. Thank you.

Hey @erin_moore ,
This should work in both business and software Jira spaces. I've just tested it, and it seems it works:
|
Software space |
Business space |
Can you try using different browsers or incognito mode to see if it's the same there? Also, are other users seeing the same thing?
Alternatively, you can add format rules and build something like:
Due date IS BEFORE Today
This will display it slightly differently, but with it, you should be able to distinguish those items visually. 👀
Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Toby, thanks for the reply. Your Business Space example is how it looked previous to the latest system update. I've tested on a different browser to no avail. It's necessary to have all spaces configurated the same so unfortunately setting format rules will not be suitable.
There's also the problem of the list column configuration changing with the latest update; and although there is the "Apply Settings from the Old List View" > "Apply to all..", it hasn't seemed to work.
Ideally, we would roll back the latest update but I understand that it not possible.

@erin_moore I think I've got it - I found one instance where this is/was rolled out: 🥇We’re merging List and All work – one powerful view for all teams 👀
On there, I can see the same behavior as you're describing.
As it's far from ideal, my recommendation would be to reach out to Atlassian Support. Their team can investigate this and forward the feedback to the product team. 👈 (and potentially open a new feature request/bug on JAC)
You probably won't get rolled back to the previous version, but they might deploy this feature on the newest cloud builds as well 🤞
