Map field configuration to component type ?

Can I confirm if it is possible to map the field configuration (what is shown on an issue screen) to the component type ?

Or is this only possible based on the issue type ?

It is only based on the issue type.

No. You can only hang config off the project and issue type

No problem, you're even more precise than I was. Since you can have different field configs for the same issue type in different projects.
