Hi everybody,

We are managing several projects with different properties. For example, a Jira has more status options than the others.

We have combined Jiras (from different projects) in a Kanban board. But now we can't handle the Jira tickets the way we want to because they are configured different from the source project.

How can we bypass this "pre-configuration" and handle the tickets in our Kanban board with our desired workflow?

Is my question clear? Or what other information should I provide?

Hello @Ali

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I understand you have configured a board query to return issues with multiple projects, however, I'm not sure what is the "pre-configuration" you mentioned and what exactly you want to achieve. Can you please give us more details about that?

Allow me to bring you some concepts and what options you have to properly manage your issues with this board.

Indeed, boards with multiple projects will return all the different workflows that must be mapped to add those issues to the board. You have two options to properly configure it:

1 - You can configure a single workflow for all the projects added to your board. This option can take some time to be configured since each workflow can have its own statuses and transitions.

2 - Map the multiple statuses provided by each workflow in the board columns, by navigating to your board > ... > Board settings > Columns. This option will make all the issues from the projects mapped in the board to appear on the board, where you can separate by columns or keep them in the same column.

Let us know if you have any questions and if you need more details about the options provided above.
