Making feild mandatory from one status or ALL statuses

Hi,

  In jira cloud how to make field as mandatory when it has ALL statuses.

Currently I have created a screen and added the field. 

Also do we need to make required in field configuration??

Please let me know if its correct way .

2 options:

1. On every workflow transition add a condition and a screen where this field is on.
   
   Use Validate a Field option on the transition.
2. With a Field Configuration (this applies on create)

   1. Navigate to Field Configurations: Go to your JIRA space settings and select "Field Configurations" under the "Work Items" section

   2. Edit Field Configuration: Find the field configuration associated with your space and edit it

   3. Custom Field: Find the custom field that you want to make mandatory in your space

   4. Edit the configuration of the custom field and set it as "Required"

   5. Ensure that this modified field configuration is associated with your space.

Yes. You must mark the field as Required in the Field Configuration.

If a field is marked "Required" in Field Configuration, it must be present on the Create/Edit screen, otherwise users will get errors.
