Make labels field default value as "Coder" instead of "coder"

Trying to create an issue in Backlog however while creating am getting default value as "coder" instead of "Coder". Could you please advise. Thanks.

If the project you are creating these issues in is team managed, check Project Settings > Issue types. Select the issue type you are creating and locate the Labels field. Expand its settings and update the default label(s) to the desired value.

In the project is company managed, default values for system fields cannot be set on the fields themselves. So if a value is appearing in your scenario, it's a matter of finding out which workaround is being used. This can be:

• a postfunction in your workflow that fires on the create issue transition;
• an automation rule that responds to the issue created trigger in your project to update the labels field.

In both cases, it's a matter of locating the source that sets the current value and then updating it accordingly.
