Hi Support.
I would like JIRA (software) to create Issue tickets based on emails. I have one mail handler is set up to create or update existing issues based on email. But I notice when the mail handler updates the ticket, it copies the whole email to the comment section which makes it hard to read.
is there a way to resolve this?
I have tried creating the second mail handler and configured to "Add a comment before a specified marker or separator in the email body" and set REGEX to read the email and grab words before "FROM :" word.
but now when I send an update to JIRA, it updates the issue ticket 2 times. one with the whole email and the second comment with just the latest message.
Please help.
Thanks
Hi @Pradeep Waragoda ,
welcome to the Community.
Did you check the "Strip Quotes" Checkbox.
With that, quoted parts of the email should be removed, so that there is only the new content added as comment.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
