For ungoing or future sprints, the sprint ID is in the URL. See image below:
hovering the mouse pointer over a sprint name in Jira displays the sprint ID at the end of the link address

For completed sprints, this URL is non-existing / hard to find. I want to find the sprintID of completed sprints.

Hello @Arnoud Havenaar

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community!

There are two ways in which you could retrieve the Closed Sprint IDs.

  1. Access Sprint Report on the board and select the required Sprint from the dropdown. Once the Sprint is selected, the URL will display the Sprint ID at the end.

  2. Access Filters - Search Work items, switch to JQL and start searching for the required Sprint.

The specific name and its ID will be displayed in the list of Sprints when you start the search.

I hope that helps!

Thank you

  3. JQL suggests sprints based on the name

  4. Select one of the sprints from the suggested list

  5. The sprint ID will appear in the JQL search query string
