Looking for a relevant documentation to migrate Rational Team Concert and TFS CSV data to Jira

Hi Team,

I am looking for a relevant documentation to migrate Rational Team Concert ticket data in CSV format and Microsoft Team foundation server ticket data in CSV format to Jira tool.

could you please share relevant migration documents.

I saw some general CSV import but it is not much helpful.

Hi Praveen, welcome to the Community!

We have specific instructions for import from TFS that you may find helpful:

We recommend exporting your TFS or Visual Studio data to CSV to import it to Jira.

This process has two steps: 

1. Create a query with the work items that you want to export. When this a query is created, save its results into the Excel spreadsheet. 
2. Save the resulting spreadsheet into a CSV format.

Please refer to Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio documentation for more information.

You can also use a third party app to help with this migration, like:

• TFS4Jira from Spartez
• UseTFS from Pigsty
• Jira Connector for ConnectALL from Go2Group

As for Rational Team Concert / Jazz, instructions for generating a CSV export are available here. I've seen posts asking about this in the past. While we don't specifically support Jazz import, it should work as a CSV source. Nobody has reported back one way or another if they completed an import from Jazz / RTC and if they needed to do any modifications. If you happen to complete this, I'd appreciate your thoughts and experience. Hearing the results of a completed Jazz migration would be interesting!
