We use Jira Server and Tempo.

We are wanting to highlight billable and non-billable hours within a client project.

Is it possible when logging time that the user can indicate/flag that this particular hour was billable or non within a single issue without having to create a separate issue?  i.e total issue time ABC-123 is 10 hours however 1 hour is non-billable.

Can the user perform this task?

Is it in the way we set up the project or account?

Do we need another plug in or some magic.

Thanks

Hi @Luke G ,

It is possible to add a "Billable" hours field to the Tempo Log Time dialog.

This can be done by giving the permission to set billable hours to users with "Approve Timesheets" permission or to all users.

By default, the "Billable" field shows the same number of hours as the "Worked" field, but it can be updated to show 0h ( or another value, depending on how many hours should be set as billable for this worklog).

Please take also a look at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/THC/pages/349208867/Configuring+Global+Accounting+Options+-+Tempo+Server for more information
