Hi all,

I have 3 engineering teams and 1 business team in my organisation. Each of them have project space in jira cloud. Business team allocates user story to engineering team and engineering team will further add tasks to it to finish.

Now I have a work which includes 2 engineering team to work on.

How can create 1 issue in business team project space and add to 2 engineering project space for them to collaborate and work on

Should just create epic in business project space and create user stories in each project manually n link to epic

Hello @John David

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

If you are working with Company Managed projects it is technically possible to have issues in a Software project be children of an Epic in a Business project. However, within the Business project you will not see those child issues in the List or Board views. You would have to create another board that would pull in the issues from the Business project and the Software projects to see the information all in one board.

You could create an automation for creating issues in the software projects.

You could create an automation which is manually triggered by a user from the Business project's Epic, and that automation could create issues in the software projects and create a link between them and the issue in the Business project.

You might be able to set up the automation to be triggered automatically. There are a variety of triggers that can be used in Automation Rules.
