I am trying to use Structure for my Sprints and want to include some Closed Sprints but not all of them. I think maybe 6 months would suffice but it is displaying every single Sprint ever created and it is a lot. Is there a way to limit this?

I am not familiar with JQL Query. Ideally I would like to move past Sprints from years ago into folders possibly grouped by years.

Hello @Andrea Jeziorowski

When it comes to displaying Sprints, Structure displays all existing data. With the Formula column, you can introduce filtering of the Sprint field's values and only show particular Sprints, including Sprints that were closed in a defined time period.

There is no possibility of filtering a structure based on the Formula column's results at this time. If you would be interested, we can notify you in this post once it becomes available. When it does, you should be able to remove all issues from your structure that contain Sprints closed for longer than six months.

As for using JQL for searching issues in such Sprints - it is not yet possible in Jira: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72007
But maybe there are third-party apps that allow the extension of the JQL functionality with relevant functions. In such case, you should be able to use such queries in a structure as well.

I hope this helps. If you have more questions about Structure, please reach out to us directly at our support portal ad we'll get back to you shortly.

Best regards,
