Limit User to a Specific Project

How do I limit a user or group to see just one project?

I can create a group and add a user to the group, and only check the user role for the desired group, but it doesn't work. Please give me a detailed process to follow.

Ahh, the question that gets asked almost every day. Basically, you need to restructure your entire permission setup (once) to support this, as the defaults simply don't let you do it.
