Labels missing from screen in the new issue view

For some reason in the new issue view in Jira seems to be missing Labels. I have checked the issue layout and the screens configuration for the project and Labels is listed in both of those.

I have tried removing the Labels from the screen and adding it back but that doesn't seem to have done anything.

Any ideas what I'm missing?

@Dan King  , Can you check your field configuration scheme whether 'labels' set to hidden there?

Thanks, it was hidden, this fixed the issue!

The labels will not show if empty. There is a “more” expand link at the bottom of the right hand column. Check if that exposes Labels.
