Hi Everyone,

I'm setting up a new Global project. The project needs to have different boards for different countries but all the tasks show up in all the boards.
I've figured out that we need to filter the boards to only see the country specific roadmap and tasks for each country's boards. My questions are:
1. Do we do this by labels? Is there a better way?

2. I want labels to be mandatory in every issue creation - right from epic to subtask

3. I want labels to be selected ONLY from a dropdown list and not randomly keyed in.

Please help!

Hello @Huda Masood

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Labels is not the right solution. Anybody can create a new label value simply by typing one in.

If you want to restrict the values that can be selected, then you need to create a selection list custom field.

Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? This information will be shown at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left when you are viewing the project.

If it is a Company Managed project, then only a Jira Administrator will be able to make the custom field, add it to your project, and make it a required field.
