Kanban board without a service desk license

Hi all. 

I'm quite new to JIRA and Atlassian. After searching around it look, to me, like there is a possibility to have kanban boards without having a jira service desk license. is this the case, and how may that be done?

Hi @Andre Buajordet,

Kanban board is a feature of Jira Software. So, if you want to use agile boards in Jira you should need Jira Software licence.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. The reason I ask is beacuse I recently managed to remove another users permissions to edit a board, and what was missing there was the Service Desk License, which got me wondering.
