Kanban board ordered by rank, can I have a swimlane ordered by priority?

Hello all,
I need my Kanban backlog to be ordered by Rank to enable to PO to decide what will be brought onto the board into the "To Do" column for the developers.
However we also display issues from another project within its own swimlane on our board and I would like this swimlane to be: Label = "xyz" ORDER BY priority DESC
Like this:
Currently the ranking overrides everything else so the priority does not take effect in the swimlane. Any advice? It might be because the general filter that feeds the whole board is ordered by RANK?
