We have 2 parts of our business that are using JIRA. One is using Kanban to log backlogged issues prior to being scheduled for work. The other is using 2 different scrum projects where we use sprints to monitor developments of 2 different business applications.
Ideally we are looking to have a central board where all 3 projects can be monitored.
To avoid having to recreate each of the backlog items in one of the scrum projects we were looking to see if Kanban and Scrum could co-exist on the same board.

We have created a new board from the Kanban project and linked it to the 2 scrum projects, both Kanban and Sprint boards have the same statuses but we cannot get any Kanban stories to appear on the new board. Any ideas?

What type of projects are these - Team Managed or Company Managed? It will say at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left when you are viewing each project individually.

What is the filter that you are using for the new board?

It is possible to combine all the issues on one board, using a saved filter. You can't have the board displaying Active Sprints, like a scrum board, and also operating like a Kanban board at the same time. You could have it set as a Kanban board and have the Sprint field displayed on each card.
