Kanban Board - Filter by Epic

I have found multiple online resources suggesting I can filter my Kanban board to show rows of epics by toggling a filter at the top of the board. However, I do not see any ability to do this on my page. Am I missing something?

Hi Jennifer,

The only way that I know of to show Epics in the rows (aka Swimlanes) is to configure them by Epic. You can find out how to do that here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-swimlanes/ 

The functionality you mentioned are quick filters. That would filter everything out of your board except what the filter is configured to show. More info on that can be found here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-quick-filters/

I believe you need to set up swimlanes for Epics, documentation can be found here on how to do this.
