Hello all,

I take care about the user management and administration of Jira and Confluence in my company.

A colleague asked me if there are good possibilities to show KPI's in Jira dashboards. He doesn't have a specific use case yet but it is more like a general question for different projects and boards.
I am not looking for any marketplace plugins but we are using Scriptrunner and sumUp.
Do you can create scripts with these apps to show KPIs? If so, how does it work?

Best regards!

Hi @Jaś Kowalksi,

With our Great Gadgets app you can easily calculate and display KPIs and charts on your Jira dashboards or Confluence pages.

The Advanced Issue Filter Formula gadget allows applying from simple to complex math formulas against the numerical fields or up to 6 filters, thus calculating and displaying percentages, sums, counts, etc.

But the app offers many other gadgets and essential charts for tracking your projects.

Just have a look on these articles from our blog:

If you need assistance on configuring these gadgets, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@stonikbyte.com.

Thank you,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Both of these apps can help you report on KPIs.

  • Sumup is a bit more front-end - it'll allow you to do lots of arithmetic with your numeric fields very easily, and then it's got some good reporting on the results.
  • Scriptrunner is a lot more back-end - again it can do lots of arithmetic, but can do a lot of other stuff too, it can work with any field type, and complex logic (e.g. "If status is new, then show/record due-date + 8 day, if not, then add 4 instead of 8").  But it does not have reporting. or gadgets.  You'd need to design your calculations to be reported on in native gadgets and reports

(Yes, I work for Adaptavist, so feel free to treat that as an advert)
