How do I access the jira version number in bamboo when a build is triggered by the Jira-Bamboo plugin? In the metadata for the completed build I see the key triggerReason.jiraVersion with the value that I want to access. But using the variables ${triggerReason.jiraVersion} or ${bamboo.triggerReason.jiraVersion} do not work.
Unfortuantely we didn't get around to get this into 3.2. However, I've created a ticket to track this and we will attempt to deliver this feature hopefully with the next point release:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-9519
In the meantime you can send the JIRA version via overwriting the variable from the JIRA dialog. Of course this is one manual step that we want to elminate. Apologies that you had to dig around to find this limitation.
JIRA version number is not available as a variable. I don't think you can access the metadata while the plan is built either. You should create an improvement request.
