Jira ticket cloning. Do not want "CLONE" in all subtasks

this seems like a new "feature" of Jira we just upgraded to.

We used to clone a "master" task with all the subtasks, and only rename the master task.

Now we have to edit every single subtask

Is there a way to turn off this annoyance?

See http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Issue+Cloning - "Configuring the cloned issue summary field prefix" section.

For cloud based JIRA do the following as administrator:

1) Click on the settings gear in top right.

2) Select System

3) Click on the Advanced Settings button top right

4) Change the AJAX value of the property jira.clone.prefix to clear the most dreaded "CLONE -" value.

5) Click on the Update button.

6) Clone stories and subtasks to your hearts content.
