This week, many users in my company have reported receiving email notifications of comments that were posted 1-2 weeks before. For example, I received a notification this morning about a comment that was posted on 6/29. As far as I can tell, we didn't receive notifications at the time the comments were actually posted. This isn't happening on all comments -- I've received several notifications of comments posted in real time. I've received two late notifications this week, and at least four other people in my company reported the same thing. In the attached screenshot, you can see the email notification from this morning, with the original post in Jira below it. Our Jira admin couldn't find anything wrong on our end and assumed it's an Atlassian issue. Any ideas? Thanks.
Morning @Kerry O_Shaughnessy ,
First, welcome to the community!
Second, late notifications, especially this amount of delay is usually a backend issue. We haven't noticed or had any reports of this in our instance recently. Does it seem to occur more with specific Jira spaces or when a certain user performs an action? I would raise a support request with Atlassian to see if something's going on on their side.
Thanks!
Brandon
I can't find any similarities. It's happening with all kinds of tickets and in different spaces. It happens with both first-level comments and also replies. It happens to users who are directly tagged in the comment as well as people who aren't tagged but receive the notification because they're watchers on that ticket.
