Hi

I am trying to add a filter to a jira plan that pulls in a number of jira boards. While I can see the filter if I search for it, I cannot add it to the plan. It just does not show up in the menu. Other filters created by the same person are showing up but not this one. The creator of the filter has give me access and made it available to anyone as a jira-user

Hi @Obaid Habib and welcome to the Community!

While I have no straightforward answer about the reason why the filter is not showing up, I am slightly triggered by your quote that you would like to pull in some Jira boards. If that is really what you want to do, it may be a better plan to literally pull in the boards themselves rather than creating a filter to collect the same data. It is perfectly possible to add multiple issue sources (or boards) to a single plan. A big benefit is that it gives you access to additional features (like e.g. making data from the board's sprints accessible, e.g).

Beyond that, take a good look at where the data from the filter is coming from. Check what types of projects are in there (are they all company managed, all Jira Software, ...). How many issues does it return if you run it in the issue navigator, ...

Hope this helps!
