Jira login says "Site Maintenance" even though status is okay

When trying to log in, we're getting a page that says:

Site Maintenance

Your Atlassian Cloud site is unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.

Please refer to our page describing Maintenance Windows for more information.

Please check Atlassian Status for any known issues.
If you have any further questions, please contact our support team.

but when we click on the Status link it says everything is okay.

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

I had this issue as well recently on our demo site, for several days. After contacting support, they told me that Jira had been deactivated. So the message with scheduled maintenance is misleading. You could check if your products are still active. Maybe they are deactivated as well for some reason.
