Jira issues doesn't automatically move across to next sprint after the status change

In this scenario,  i've updated status on the issue to "Done" but it is still showing up in the Documentation column instead of moving across to the next sprint which is Done column.

Also sometimes the column which incorporate issues for one or more status, just doesn't shows up all the issues and just randomly missed few of them.

Attached is the complete sprint and workflow for the project.

Any suggestions or help would be great.

So first it is worth understanding that the “next sprint” isn’t defined by issues in the Done column at least not by design. Done should represent completely done issues so they would not carry into the next sprint. Unless of course you do not set the Resolution field to a value other than “unresolved” which equates to empty.

now what we need to inspect is the status to field mappings for your board not the workflow itself. Can you go to Board settings - columns and take a full screenshot? It may be that “Done” status has been mapped to “Documentation” column.

The mapping seems ok. Can you show an example of where a done is not in the Done column? Are you setting the resolution when moving to Done and Declined? Also, why do you have a Declined status as it is not showing in your workflow image. Possibly, there are multiple workflows involved here?

Please look at the  yellow highlighted part in the snapshot.

GTKP-263 is showing under documentation column although the status is Done if you look at far right in the picture.

Also, please advise on how to check for if multiple workflows are involved to this project board ?

I must be missing something. I don't see any image with highlighted yellow text nor the GTKP-263 issue.

workflows are found here - project settings > workflows. All workflows will be shown there associated with issuetypes.
