Jira expression for archived work items

I have a Scriptrunner validator that is failing because it is still checking against issues within an epic that are actually archived but still technically part of the parent.

Is there a Jira expression I can use to check against an issue (work item's) archive status? That way I can have the custom validator ignore archived items.

I've searched through the expression types, the forums here, and tons of Scriptrunner examples but haven't found anything.

It doesn't appear that this is easily accessible through an expression.

Per an answer on this post there is a field called "softArchive" that is updated when an issue is archived/unarchived.

The post. says this is recorded in the changelog. I see that changelog is accessible through Expressions. Maybe you can access that to figure out if the issue is archived or not.
