Jira data center SSO SAML

Hey we are trying to setup Jira data center SAML SSO, there is a field called - 
"Username mapping" (used to map ldP attributes to the username, e.g. $(NameID)

What am I supposed to fill in this field? same as I do in ldap config - "sAMaccountname"? or something else entirely?

@MICHAEL ZELENSKY, basically you just need to supply the connector with the proper attribute which will line up with the usernames used in Jira.

So if ${NameId} from the Idp is returning the same values as the usernames in Jira, you should be good to go. You should really look in your Idp to see which attribute is mapped to the usernames you have in Jira.

Thanks for the answer, leaving it as is - $(NameID) + and asking our ADFS provider to change the way the SSO take the user name solved it.
