Jira auto create ticket from email having issue if email subject has "@" symbol

I'm having an issue on one of my project configured with Auto Create Ticket from email.
There is an existing ticket with Summary/Subject having "@" symbol, the case is that when a new email was received by the email handler with Subject having "@" symbol, it will comment on the existing ticket rather than creating a new one.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my test project, however I'm having the correct behaviour which is it creates new ticket
