hi Community,
I have a question, I'm having a project at a company and I'm creating a ticketing system so that every employee can give a feedback about a "Ticket/User-story" that will be assigned to him/her
(basically, move tickets/subtasks between backlog/in progress/done and provide a comment), nothing more
It is estimated around 400 distinctive users will use the system (mostly only once). and that is a huge license cost for a one-time use.
The question is, do all employees have to have Jira license in order to do so? or do you have any other idea how to create such a system? I'm not sure if Jira IT service management is a better option for that.
we are using Jira Premium, but can be upgraded to Enterprise
thank you in advance
Hi @Sherif Sayed welcome to the community. With the information you've provided, I would recommend using Jira Service Management for something like this. If you setup your 400 users as Internal Customers, you won't need licenses for them. Depending on how many people would be responding to tickets, you can adjust your licensing accordingly. This way, if any of those users need to open more tickets, you have the history.
Hope that helps.
that is great. thanks Dan.
I've researched and it looks like Jira Service Management is the optimal solution :) you were right
