Jira and Outlook Integration - custom fields

Hi

Question from my boss...

When creating a new issue in Jira from Outlook, how are custom fields added to the Outlook modal? He can see all of the standard fields you'd expect but nowhere to add the custom field.

Is it something as simple as making the custom field a default field and then restarting Outlook?
