Hello,
I'm looking for some advice from people who already evaluate and/or purchased a add-on for single sign on, between "SAML SingleSignOn" from re:solution and "
Single Sign On (SSO) SAML" from miniOrange.
I am in the process of evaluating both for my company, the prices are quite different (miniOrange one is less than half of the other).
I am still testing, but for now the only difference that I saw was that re:solution add-on has a better (or more user friendly) configuration interface, it was a little more intuitive and faster to set up. But since it's something that you would only configure once, it wouldn't make that much of a difference right?
In terms of bugs, performance issues, or any other impact for Jira and/or Confluence, is there anything you could share about them?
Thanks in advance for the inputs, hope to see some experiences shared.
Hi Thales,
I would advise you look at which has more traction and review in the community to determine which you would get. Feedback from users help show how helpful the add-on vendor is.
I have met the Re:solution team and tested their solution and I can tell you it is really well done however I cannot speak for the other one you mentioned since I have never tested it.
Also, things like staff pick badges show the commitment of the vendor to the longtime sustainability of the add-on.
At the end of the day, the following would be what I have a look at, how many people have installed it, how many people have reviewed it (especially recent review).
Hope it helps.
We are quite pleased with one that you didn't mention, Kantega's solution. We use the Kerberos functionality offered, which logs users in based upon their Windows credentials.

I appreciate the input Payne, the reason I did not mention this one is that it's the same price as the reSolution one, and has fewer installations and reviews, so I made a judgment call to not consider it.
But it's great to hear that you're happy with them, thanks again.

Hi @thalesc,
I work for resolution - I appreciate you are asking for User experiences with either of our companies. So I'll shut up and hope that many of our Users are going to share here.
If you have anything you'd like us as the vendor to contribute/answer, just let me know.
Cheers,
Christian
