I followed your information on how to add @Jira Agent to slack. It doesn't work. How do I enable rovo properly? I added a connection for slack but @JIRA still tells me "I couldn't find the Jira agent for the configured site."
Please help and update your docs. I spent 2 hours on this already
The CONVO-AI Bad Request is the Add Site step failing to validate the bot account you're designating, which fits what you said about already having done it. Rovo access is on by default, so there was no enable switch to miss here.
The bot account is where I'd look. Atlassian requires it to be a managed Atlassian account, licensed in Jira and Confluence, and specifically not a generic service account. If the one you picked is a service account, that's a documented mismatch, so re-run the onboarding from rovo-integrations.atlassian.com/slack/onboard/welcome and designate a managed, licensed account.
If that account checks out and it still throws the Bad Request, I'd stop configuring and raise it with Atlassian Support. CONVO-AI is Rovo's own backend, so a Bad Request coming back from it during validation is server-side, not something you fix from the Slack or Jira side. Give them the exact error string, the UTC time you hit it, your org ID, the site ID you're adding and the bot account you used, so they can pull the backend logs.
Hi @Alec Nikolov, that @JIRA in Slack is the Rovo-powered agent, and the error you're getting is about the Jira site behind that mention. The Slack connection you added is a separate piece.
Rovo has to be active on that site first. Atlassian's requirement is that an organization administrator activates Rovo in Atlassian Administration before this feature works. If Rovo is off on the site @JIRA points at, there's no agent for it to find, which would look like the error you're seeing. Check that with your org admin first. It's also the "how do I enable rovo" part of your question.
Then the site selection itself. The @Jira Agent is configured per channel, so type /jira agent in that channel, reselect the Jira site (the one with Rovo on) and a default space, and Save. The message calls that the "configured site", so reselect it even if it already looks right.
What eats the two hours is that the Rovo Slack app and this @JIRA mention are two different things. Adding the Slack connection doesn't configure @JIRA for a channel, /jira agent does.

Hi @Gabriela - LeanZero
I am org admin. Where do I enable Rovo for a site then? I thought I already did that

Maybe this helps; When trying to add a site I get following error:
Failed to validate system account: Failed to retrieve data from CONVO-AI API with reason: Bad Request
