I am developing Jira Cloud plugin with Jira Webhook to track Jira Issue status changes.
Here is my webhook configuration from atlassian-connect.json:
"event": "jira:issue_updated",
"jqlFilter": "status changed",
"excludeBody": false
For scenario:
- Epic is created
- Added 2 child issues
- Mark one child issue as 'Done'
- Epic status is 50% complete
- Go to any issue, edit parent issue and unlink it from Epic
- Epic status changed to 0%
Webhook event for Issue status change is not triggered
Hi @Danylo Kobzar -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Based on what you described, I would not expect the jira:issue_updated event to fire as you are deleting a link. Perhaps use the issuelink_deleted event instead. Please look here to learn more: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/webhooks/#overview
Kind regards,
Bill
Thank you for your reply.
This is still a question why 'issue_updated' event is not called as Issue status was changed? Can it be considered as a bug or this is a expected limitation of JQL filter used in web-hook configuration?
