Jira Updates - Randomly or All at Once ?

Kara Craig
February 24, 2026

We are relatively new to Jira Cloud, and so I'm still trying to figure out many parts of the Admin role.

We are on the Bundled Release track, but have noticed a few instances where some users have an issue or update that we can't duplicate on our own systems.

Has anyone experienced the updates to be applied to some users in your organization, but not all?

Does anyone know if we can prevent this?

@Kara Craig If you are on a bundled release track you specify the time in which your instance is updated.  If all of the instances are updated at the same time, then you should not be out of sync.  When you say that some users are having issues do you mean users or product instances?   Can you share some of the issues they are having?

Hey @Kara Craig ,

Yeah... unfortunately, you cannot prevent that. 🫤
As Brant mentioned and asked, are you referring to different sites (instances) and are those sites under the same or different (Atlassian) organizations?

What I wanted to share here is a new announcement for seasonal releases. Basically, the major updates would only be rolled out during the listed periods (mainly circling Team events), while everything else would still depend on how you've configured your release tracks.
This is something pretty new, so we will see how it will go 👀

Btw, you can use this API endpoint (throw it in the browser address bar) to check which Jira cloud version your site is currently on: How to check your Jira cloud version

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tobi
