We are relatively new to Jira Cloud, and so I'm still trying to figure out many parts of the Admin role.
We are on the Bundled Release track, but have noticed a few instances where some users have an issue or update that we can't duplicate on our own systems.
Has anyone experienced the updates to be applied to some users in your organization, but not all?
Does anyone know if we can prevent this?
@Kara Craig If you are on a bundled release track you specify the time in which your instance is updated. If all of the instances are updated at the same time, then you should not be out of sync. When you say that some users are having issues do you mean users or product instances? Can you share some of the issues they are having?
Sorry - not 'issues' so much as new features being available at different times.
All users are working in the same Jira app in the same organization, but User1 will have a newly released feature already available while User2 may not see it for a day (or more).
We have seen this several times in the last 2 months after our migration to Cloud. So maybe it will settle down going forward?

@Kara Craig are they both using the same Jira instance? Does simply refreshing the browser solve the issue? Seems very odd that this is occurring in cloud.

@Brant Schroeder Agreed that it feels odd, hence my question.
We are all using the same Jira instance, and a refresh doesn't align the difference(s). I have checked a few times in my troubleshooting/investigating.
At this time it's not causing any pains or blocks, just a strange situation as we're learning what working in Jira Cloud is like.
Thanks for your guidance, I'll keep watching it for now.

@Kara Craig I would suggest submitting a support ticket. I would not expect it to work that way even if you have different data residency areas. It would be interesting to know if it is more widespread.

Hey @Kara Craig ,
Yeah... unfortunately, you cannot prevent that. 🫤
As Brant mentioned and asked, are you referring to different sites (instances) and are those sites under the same or different (Atlassian) organizations?
What I wanted to share here is a new announcement for seasonal releases. Basically, the major updates would only be rolled out during the listed periods (mainly circling Team events), while everything else would still depend on how you've configured your release tracks.
This is something pretty new, so we will see how it will go 👀
Btw, you can use this API endpoint (throw it in the browser address bar) to check which Jira cloud version your site is currently on: How to check your Jira cloud version
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi
