Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a smart formula for a Jira Structure column and hope you can help.
My Goal:
I want to display the status of a Test from within the context of a specific Test Execution. Essentially, I need the "local" run status for that execution, not the "global" overall status of the Test.
My Current Setup:
I have my Test Executions in my Structure. Underneath each Test Execution, I am using a generator to show all the Test issues that are part of that execution.
The Problem:
When I add a column to show the test status, it always shows the overall latest status for the Test issue across its entire history. It does not show the status specific to its parent Test Execution in my structure. The value is the same for the Test everywhere, regardless of which Test Execution it is nested under.
My Question:
Is there a way, preferably with a smart formula, that I can apply to the Test row in my structure to make it display its run status from its direct parent Test Execution? I need the formula to correctly look up the status relative to its position in the hierarchy.
Thanks so much in advance for any guidance
Hello @Zachary Sharpe
It's not possible - Structure can only see the latest status of tests; there is no functionality that can extract any previous status based on the parent test execution.
We have a feature request in our backlog to make it possible somehow. I will add your vote to it.
If you have other questions about Structure, please reach out to us directly at our support portal.
