Jira Sprint question

Hi,

I need to start a Sprint on my Jira Board, without the dates . . Like, I want the sprint to be active, but without an end date.

Is it possible to do this ?

Hi @AisM 

While the concept of Sprint is a 'Time box', i tried in my jira cloud to edit and remove the start & end date of a sprint and it allowed me.

I hope it works the same way in jira server as well. Can you check?

@Fazila Ashraf Thank you for the comment. So, you edited the date, after starting the sprint, or while creating the sprint provided a date period & then edited it?

I did that soon after creating but i see that to start the sprint, it needs the dates.  :) 

And that makes sense as the sprint is actually a 'Time box'.

If the dates are not important to you and you do not look at the sprint reports, could you put dummy dates and proceed with work?
