Jira Setup Initializing the plugin system "We couldn't start the following plugins"

Ran Jira Setup Got to the "Initializing the plugin system" step and then it dies on me.

Was this a JIRA Upgrade? If yes what version were you at? Which version did you upgrade to?

Thanks for your reply. No, this was not an upgrade. This is a clean evaluation install on my macbook pro OSX. Any other advice would be helpful.

Thanks Fadoua. I was following other documentation. i will delete all I have and start from scratch as instructed with this link. I will let you know if I run into any problems. Give me till end of day today.
