I've just created Application Link to enable users of my application to connect to Jira Server via REST API with Oauth (each user is getting specific credentials after completing the 'Oauth dance').
On the documentation creating application link in Jira should mainly be used to link between Atlassian applications. I want to understand what stands behind and why Atlassian doesn't recommend using Application Link to link Jira with external applications.
