Jira Portfolio, New Issue Type and Child Issue Creation

Hello Atlassian team,

When there are new issue types like Program Epic created in Jira and established hierarchy level in Portfolio, ability to add child issues within JIRA for this Program Epic is missing - how can I create child items in new Program Epic in JIRA and have it show up in Portfolio? 

Bottomline: how can we get "Issues In Epic" in other issue types as well so that we can create parent/child relationship to support SAFe 5.0.

Any update here?? @fissara Admin  Specially when we want a hierarchy like

Level 1- Theme -> EPIC/RFE

Level 2- RFE/Epic -> Stories

How can my new issue type RFE have child stories just like  Epics. Thanks
