Jira Groovy script, validate user is manager of space in Confluence

I'm working on creating a Validator transition when users create a new request.

I'm trying to find information on how to write a Groovy script in Jira to validate that a requestor is a manager of a particular space on Confluence. I'm very new to Groovy and can't seem to locate specific information on what I would need to import and such to accomplish this task. I have found some information but it seems to only be directed at creating a Confluence page from Jira and not doing anything with validating a user.
