Jira Github Integration showing "open" for merged PRs after starting to use a merge queue (Kodiak)

Our Jira/Github integration was working great. Then it wasn't.
The timing of it no longer working seems to be when we got Kodiak. Kodiak is a merge queue that automatically merges approved PRs.
The odd thing, is PRs are showing "Open" even though they were later "Approved" by a human before the Kodiak bot did the actual merge, leaving them in the "Merged" state.
